Chomp Down on 2 New Terrifying Posters for THE MEG

Posted on: July 2nd, 2018

Summertime is for shark-themed horror movies. We dipped our toed into The Shallows in 2016; 2017 took us 47 Meters Down; and, in 2018, fans of aquatic terror are chomping at the bit to meet The Meg! Short for “Megalodon”, The Meg (based on the series of novels penned by Steve Alten) promises to make the family of great whites in the Jaws franchise look like guppies.

Slated to hit US Theaters on August 10th, we can expect the promotional campaign for The Meg to kick into high gear right about now. To that end, producers just dropped not 1, but 2 new posters for the film; it’s difficult to decide which one is more nerve-shredding!

Give the posters a look-see below, followed by the trailer and synopsis for The Meg.

Synopsis:
A massive creature attacks a deep-sea submersible, leaving it disabled and trapping the crew at the bottom of the Pacific Ocean. With time running out, rescue diver Jonas Taylor must save the crew and the ocean itself from an unimaginable threat — a 75-foot-long prehistoric shark known as the Megalodon.

The Meg is directed by Jon Turteltaub and stars Ruby Rose, Jason Statham, and Rainn Wilson.
