Chernobyl Diaries director Brad Parker is to helm a new horror-thriller for 1inMM Productions. The film is currently untitled, but it follows an expedition to an Appalachian sinkhole that turns into a terrifying fight for survival.
Chernobyl Diaries was a mediocre spook-fest that didn’t quite manage to be the chilling found-footage film it desired to be. However, there will always be something creepy about the setting of Chernobyl, so it’s worth watching for that.
Eric Scherbarth is co-writing the script and he, perhaps suitably, is the writer-director of a short film titled Sinkhole. We don’t anticipate this to be a feature-length version of that story, though. Scherbarth writes the script with Stefan Jaworksi, a writer on the Danish series Those Who Kill and 2007’s The Gold of Valhalla.
With production set to begin on the film this month, expect to hear more soon.
