Prano Bailey-Bond burst onto the scene this year with her exceptional debut feature Censor, a movie revolving around the Video Nasties moral panic of the 1980s. Now, the director has set her sights on her next project: an adaptation of Marina Enriquez’s short story Things We Lost in the Fire.
In Things We Lost in the Fire, a terrorised female community will resort to ever more extreme actions in response to male violence. In addition to directing the film for RT Features, Bailey-Bond will re-team with her Censor co-writer Anthony Fletcher to write the screenplay.
Rodrigo Teixeira (Call Me by Your Name) and Lourenço Sant’Anna (The Lighthouse) will produce.
