With Lee Cronin’s reboot of The Mummy officially before the cameras, it was only a matter of time before we heard more names attached to the project.
As we last reported when announcing the commencement of shooting; Midsummar star Jack Reynor had landed the lead, whilst Wheel of Time’s Laia Costa is cast in an undisclosed role.
However, now we have even more actors boarding The Mummy, rounding out the film’s cast as filming continues.
Moon Knight’s May Calamawy and Ozark season 4 star Veronica Falcón have been announced as primary cast members, although their roles remain undisclosed.
Although precious-little is known about The Mummy’s plot, we do have this brief synopsis that we obtained from a reliable source:
“a beloved husband and father runs afoul of supernaturally sinister forces.”
It’s not much, but we’ll take it!
Shooting on The Mummy is currently underway in Dublin, Ireland, and is expected to move to Spain in the coming weeks. It’s likely we’ll learn of more cast members aboard the project during that time.
Cronin has recently said of his vision for The Mummy:
“This will be unlike any Mummy movie you ever laid eyeballs on before. I’m digging deep into the earth to raise something very ancient and very frightening.”
Coming to us from Blumhouse and Atomic Monster, The Mummy is currently set to release via Warner Bros. on April 17th 2026.
