Earlier this year, it was announced that a game based on Ruggero Deodato’s infamous 1980 horror film Cannibal Holocaust was in development. Originally called Cannibal, the game has since been officially retitled Borneo: A Jungle Nightmare—and an announcement trailer has just been released!
The game, which comes from developer Fantastico Studio, is based on a completely new screenplay. It’s being billed as “an original chapter in the famous cannibal cinematic line, representing a brand-new episode of the saga.”
Borneo: A Jungle Nightmare will release on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in the summer of 2021. Check out the announcement trailer below!
