An intense trailer has been released for the Korean thriller The Wailing (Goksung) and, to be honest, it must barely scratch the surface of what the film’s going to offer, because according to iMDb, it’s 156 minutes long. That’s quite an epic.
If the trailer is anything to go by, it looks like it’s going to be worth investing your time, because the build-up of mystery and blending of both horror and crime thriller elements looks quite fantastic. We love Korean cinema at SCREAM and The Wailing looks like another exquisite feature from the country that is renowned for its ground-breaking genre films.
The Wailing comes from director Hong-Jin Na (The Yellow Sea, The Chaser) and stars Woo-hee Chun, Jo Han-Chul and Jeong-min Hwang. The film will be released on 27th May in the USA by Well Go USA. Fingers crossed for a UK release soon!
