Well, here’s some unexpected news! The Bring It On franchise is dipping its toes into scary territory with its next instalment, which will be an original horror movie for SYFY!
If you’re not familiar with the franchise, the previous Bring It On films have all been cheerleading comedies. Bring It On: Halloween will see an embattled cheerleading squad, held down by restrictive rules, seeking the freedom of a creepy, closed school gym to practice for regionals. But when members of the squad start to disappear, the cheerleaders must unmask their assailant to save themselves.
Dana Schwartz and Rebekah McKendry penned the script for Bring It On: Halloween, which is being produced by Universal 1440 Entertainment. The film will premiere in 2022.
