If you’re a sucker for jump scares then you might want to skip this short clip from The Other Side of the Door, because it’s a tiny bit frightening. Titled ‘Car Scare’ the clip, surprisingly, sees Michael (Jeremy Sisto) get the fright of his life when he’s sitting in traffic.
Synopsis:
Grieving over the loss of her son, a mother struggles with her feelings for her daughter and her husband. She seeks out a ritual that allows her say goodbye to her dead child, opening the veil between the world of the dead and the living. Her daughter becomes the focus of terror. She must now protect against the evil that was once her beloved son.
From what we’ve seen of the film so far, it does seem rather spooky. Sarah Wayne Callies (The Walking Dead, Pay The Ghost) continues to play a, to be honest, terrible mother as she opens the door to the world of the dead. It was the ONE thing she was told not to do, silly woman. Nonetheless, her mistake becomes our entertainment as all hell rains down on her family and that’s what we like to see, right?
The Other Side of the Door comes from director Johannes Roberts (F, Storage 24), will soon play at Glasgow’s Frightfest on 27th February and will be released on 4th March 2016 in the UK and USA.
