It and Castle Rock star Bill Skarsgård has been cast in a “modern reimagining” of The Crow, based on the comic of the same name created by James O’Barr.
Skarsgård will play Eric Draven, who is brought back from the dead by a mystical crow and sets out to avenge the murder of his fiancé. The role was played by the late Brandon Lee in the 1994 adaptation.
Rupert Sanders (Snow White and the Huntsman) is directing the new film, which will also star singer-songwriter FKA twigs. The script was written by Zach Baylin (King Richard) and is said to be a fresh take on the original material. Pre-production is already well underway and shooting is slated to begin in June.
