Barbara Curry has been hired to pen the script for Paramount’s thriller Gasp. The film will look at the dark side of online dating – not that you have to look very far! – and follow a detective who must find a killer who is targeting women on a specific dating app.
Gasp sure sounds like it’s going to be a horror thriller for the ages as I’m sure most of us have our own horror stories from online dating, or even just simply talking to someone on the interwebs. The internet is the perfect place for people who want to craft their own identity, easily hiding who they truly are.
Keep your eyes peeled for a director announcement. Offspring entertainment will be producing, with American Horror Story’s Jessica Sharzer co-producing.
