Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch, Last Night in Soho) is set to star opposite Ralph Fiennes (Red Dragon, The Grand Budapest Hotel) in a new “darkly comedic psychological thriller” called The Menu, directed by Mark Mylod (Succession).
Written by Will Tracy and Seth Reiss, The Menu is set in the world of eccentric culinary culture. The plot centres around a young couple who visit an exclusive restaurant on a remote island where an acclaimed chef (Fiennes) has prepared a lavish tasting menu. Taylor-Joy will play one half of the couple.
Alexander Payne (Sideways) was originally attached to direct the film, with Emma Stone starring. However, both Payne and Stone are no longer involved with the project.
