Hulu has nabbed RocketJump’s sci-fi series Dimension 404 which has been inspired by the Internet’s infamous error code ‘404’. The series will delve into the world of internet terrors as its 6 hour-long episodes tell different, unexplainable stories about the deep, dark web.
A few cast members have been announced for the series and they include Lea Michele; who will play Amanda, a witty young lady who looks to a matchmaking service, Robert Buckley; who will play Adam, who falls in love with Amanda. When the two break-up it hits him quite hard. Ryan Lee will also star in a different episode set in 1982. He will play the role of Andrew, a video game addict who is viciously bullied by his classmates and seeks solace at Ernie’s Arcade.
The series aims to mix horror and sci-fi to mimic the feeling of venturing in to the wrong side of the web, where you read stories that are obscure, strange and incomprehensible in the real world. It certainly sounds like a refreshing take on the anthology sub-genre which is growing increasingly popular. Colour us excited.
