With the Alien franchise hotter than ever following the success of Alien: Romulus, this is perfect time to get our first slightly extended peek at Alien: Earth.
Alien: Earth, a joint television venture between the FX Network and Disney, debuted a brief teaser attached to the Disney+ 2025 “sizzle reel”
Giving little away, the 10 second compilation features some earth shots, an intriguing quote, a shot of our leading lady, and, of course, a Xenomorph snarling at the camera. A successful “sizzle,” dare we say?
The series comes to us from Fargo’s Noah Hawley, and takes place on Earth, roughly 70 years in the future. When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.
Hawley recently commented on filming the series, saying:
“There’s something about seeing a Xenomorph in the wilds of Earth with your own eyes that is truly chilling… to think of it moving here among us. And so I can’t tell you under what circumstances you’ll see that, but you’ll see it — and you’re going to lock your door that night.”
Sydney Chandler will star as Wendy, “a hybrid, a meta-human who has the brain and consciousness of a child but the body of an adult.” Scream 2 and Justified actor Timothy Olyphant will co-lead as Wendy’s as-yet-unnamed handler.
Alongside Chandler and Olyphant, Alien: Earth will also feature The Babadook’s Essie Davis, comedian and actor Adrian Edmondson, Ghost Stories actor Alex Lawther, and David Rysdahl, recently cast in SOULM8TE.
It is unknown how the series will tie-in to the already established Alien lore, we only know that it will be set 30 years before the events of 1979’s Alien.
