Alien: Covenant Will Take Place 10 Years After Prometheus

Posted on: January 5th, 2016

In an interview with Collider, costume designer Janty Yates spoke about the amount of time that will have passed between the end of Prometheus and the beginning of Alien: Covenant. A whole decade will have passed, which means that poor David (Michael Fassbender) will have been on his synthetic lonesome for 10 years.

Synopsis:
Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.

It will be interesting to see what David has got up to during those 10 years, as well as Elizabeth Shaw (Noomi Rapace) who managed to escape the ship at the end of Prometheus. You can watch the whole interview in the video below, where she also talks about Ridley Scott’s The Martian.

Alien: Covenant will be released on 6th October 2017; next year!
