The director of Horns and High Tension (pictured above) will see the release of his latest horror flick, Crawl, this summer on 19th August. Alexandre Aja’s previous efforts have been memorable and unique additions to our favourite genre, and although they’ve not all been great *cough Horns *cough*, we can’t deny his impression on horror has been a great one.
The film will follow a young woman who has to fight for survival against alligators after a Category 5 hurricane traps her in a flooding house.
Man vs Beast thrillers can be some of the greatest, so let’s hope that Crawl can deliver the intensity and drama that is much-needed for a film like this to work.
Crawl will star Kaya Scodelario, Barry Peppe, Ross Anderson and Anson Boon. Look out for the film in August, when it is released courtesy of Paramount and Ghost Pictures. Sam Raimi will produce.
