American Horror Story: 1984 premieres this week, but you can watch the new title sequence right now! The show’s co-creator Ryan Murphy shared the new official title sequence for the 80’s slasher-inspired season over on his Instagram, and it’s about as retro as you can get—including a synth-heavy take on the show’s iconic theme.
“I am so excited to share with you the new AMERICAN HORROR STORY title sequence by our longtime collaborator Kyle Cooper and our new friend Corey Vega, who ignited this concept with an original ‘fan’ cut he posted on Twitter after the 1984 season was announced,” Murphy wrote. “I liked it so much, I decided to bring him on board to work together with Kyle as they evolved the concept into something major. Congratulations Corey! 1980s horror never looked so good.”
This season will see Camp Redwood terrorised by a killer called Mr. Jingles. The cast includes Emma Roberts, Angelica Ross, Billie Lourd, Gus Kenworthy, and John Carroll Lynch.
