A short, sweet and spooky teaser has been released for Box; a psychological thriller about a man who receives a mysterious box with no explanation about where it’s from or who could have sent it. I’d immediately set fire to it if I were him, because nothing in this life is free and everything comes at a price. But, that may be the pessimist in me speaking.
Synopsis:
Our film begins with a man who has committed accidental homicide. Frightened and unsure what to do he dumps the body and rushes home only to find a large wooden Box on his doorstep. The man reluctantly carries the box in his house where he begins a descent into madness and terror.
The synopsis sounds like a blend of the Cameron Diaz-starrer The Box – which I, personally, thoroughly enjoyed – and I Know What You Did Last Summer, if the box sender knows about the murder he has committed of course.
The teaser provides us with little more than an idea of the film’s unsettling tone and the size of the box. It’s certainly a lot bigger than Cameron Diaz’s. What do you think is inside of it? I guess we will have to watch the full film to find out.
Box will be released in the spring of 2017.
