80s-Inspired Sales Art for Bed of the Dead

Posted on: December 2nd, 2015

From the folks who brought you Chad Archibald’s Bite comes Bed of the Dead; a film that sees a group of twenty-somethings trapped on an antique bed… of the dead.

Synopsis:
Four twentysomethings find themselves stuck on a haunted antique bed where leaving means suffering a gruesome death. Plagued with frightening hallucinations, they must figure out the bed’s secrets before they are ultimately picked off one by one.

Bed of the Dead PosterIf that concept doesn’t have you hooked, I don’t know what will. With a story and title like that, it’s surely not going to take itself too seriously. Hopefully it will be a bloody fun throwback treat with lots of gruesome deaths and a commitment to being just a little bit crazy.

The sales sheet comes courtesy of Breakthrough Entertainment and Black Fawn Films; companies that have given us Bite and The Sublet. The film is written by long-serving Black Fawn cinematographer Jeff Maher (also co-writer on Antisocial 2) & Cody Calahan (co-writer of Antisocial 2) and marks Maher’s first time helming a feature. Bed of the Dead will star Colin Price (Late Night Double Feature), Alysa King (Berkshire County), Gwen Cumyn (Chasing Valentine), Dennis Andres (Lady Psycho Killer) and George Krissa and commenting on the film Maher said, “I’m excited to finally unleash this poster to the public. Time to get ready for bed!”

The film is scored by composer Steph Copeland (Bite, The Drownsman), produced by Chad Archibald (The Sublet, Antisocial 2, Bite), Cody Calahan (Bite, Antisocial 2, The Sublet), Christopher Giroux (Bite, The Drownsman, The Sublet), together with Line Producer James O’Donnell (Antisocial 2, Bite, The Sublet), Supervising Producer Audrey Velichka and Executive Producers Nat Abraham, Tim Brown, Ira Levy, Michael McGuigan and Peter Williamson.

Check out the sales sheet (right); the design is very ‘80s and reminiscent of films like The Evil Dead and A Nightmare on Elm Street.
