We reported not two weeks back that IFC had picked up Abner Pastoll’s Road Games for a VOD release, and they’ve wasted little time in getting a full trailer together. Previously we only had a particularly scant teaser to go on, whereas the new trailer introduces us properly to newly-met wanderers Jack (Andrew Simpson) and Véronique (Joséphine de La Baume). We also get to meet a sinister couple made up of horror icon Barbara Crampton’s Mary and husband Grizard (Frédéric Pierrot).
Synopsis:
On a sunny summer day in the French countryside, drifters Jack and Véronique hook up and hit the road together. But when they accept a ride from a local oddball, the pair find themselves thrown into a deadly game of cat and mouse in which nothing is what it seems. Bursting with nonstop twists and turns and an undercurrent of Hitchcockian malice, this riveting psychological thriller is a hell of a ride.
Road Games is released on VOD March 4th, alongside a very limited US theatrical run.
