The second season of Showtime’s hit coming-of-age horror series Yellowjackets is set to premiere on March 24th—and a wintery poster has blown in to herald its arrival!
Created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson, Yellowjackets is “the saga of a wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the remote northern wilderness. The series chronicles their descent from a complicated but thriving team to savage clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.”
A harsh winter is only going to complicate things in Season 2, leaving the survivors in even more dire circumstances as food dwindles and it becomes harder and harder to stay warm and stay alive.
Melanie Lynskey, Tawny Cypress, Christina Ricci, and Juliette Lewis star in Yellowjackets. Season 2 adds Lauren Ambrose (Sevant), Simone Kessell (Obi-Wan Kenobi), and Elijah Wood (Maniac) to the cast.
The first season of Yellowjackets was the second most streamed show in Showtime history. Showtime has already ordered up a third season.
