Director Kiah Roache-Turner has already put their mark on the zombie sub-genre with 2014’s Wyrmwood: Road of the Dead. Now, they’re tackling vampires with Dark West, a vampire revenge thriller that’s being compared to Kathryn Bigelow’s Near Dark.
Set on the highways of Texas, Dark West will follow two car thieves who accidentally T-bone a pair of vampires in the middle of the night. Roache-Turner is also co-writing the movie, from a screenplay by Richard Kadrey. The project comes to us from Winterlight Pictures.
