Evil doesn’t span eternity without a little help.
Based on an original pitch from The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman, horror-comedy Renfield will see Dracula’s disillusioned servant trying to escape a toxic relationship. The official trailer has emerged from its coffin—and if you think your boss sucks, you haven’t seen anything yet!
In this modern monster tale, Nicholas Hoult (The Menu, Warm Bodies) stars as Renfield, the eponymous tortured aide to history’s most narcissistic boss, Dracula, played by none other than Nicolas Cage (Mandy, Color Out of Space)!
“Renfield is forced to procure his master’s prey and do his every bidding, no matter how debased. But now, after centuries of servitude, Renfield is ready to see if there’s a life outside the shadow of The Prince of Darkness. If only he can figure out how to end his codependency.”
Awkwafina (The Farewell), Ben Schwartz (Sonic the Hedgehog), and Adrian Martinez (The Secret Life of Walter Mitty) co-star in Renfield. The film was directed by Chris McKay (The Tomorrow War) and written by Ryan Ridley (Rick and Morty).
Renfield arrives in theatres on April 14th, 2023. Check out the trailer below!
