We’re not saying we predicted this… but…

According to director Rhys Frake-Waterfield, a third chapter is a-go in the horrific spin on children’s classic Winnie-The-Pooh.

This news comes as Winnie-The-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2 has blazed a trail of critical and audience praise during its 3-day theatrical run.

As we reported, the sequel was hailed as a marked improvement over its panned original. With the latter making $5.3 million on a $100,000 budget, the sequel was afforded much more money, living up to the originally grand vision for the project.

As per Frake-Waterfield, the third chapter will blaze a new trail, introducing more characters from Christopher Robin’s stable of childhood favourites. After tying up the loose ends in his sequel, Frake-Waterfield seeks to introduce characters such as Rabbit, the Heffalumps and the Woozles to the horror-verse.

The news of a third instalment comes only weeks after the announcement of a full expanded universe of beloved children’s favourites entering the genre. Kicking off with Bambi: The Reckoning, we can’t help but wonder what kids’ IP will be next to get a blood drenched makeover. Time will surely tell!
