From indie publisher Katnappe and developer Genius Slackers, psychological horror game What Happened it set to launch on Steam at the end of this month—and it sounds equal parts fascinating and nightmarish.
In the game, Stiles, a high-school student, is suffering from acute anxiety and depression. Players must guide him through the darkly atmospheric and twisted corridors of his own mind, with his fate depending entirely on your empathy and ability to read between the lines of his confused memories and drug-fuelled hallucinations.
What Happened will release on Steam on July 30th, and we’ll keep an eye out for news of a potential console release in future. In the meantime, don’t miss the newly released video dev diary below, in which game director Arash Negahban discusses the inspirations behind the game.
