Another unique film will be riding onto our screens in the form of western horror film Bone Tomahawk and we’ve just been shown the latest poster for it. Starring horror legend Kurt Russell, who acted in The Thing and Deathproof, and Patrick Wilson, from Insidious and The Conjuring, it looks like an intense period drama with lashings of blood.
Bone Tomahawk is set in the 1800’s and focuses on four men who try to rescue their kidnapped townspeople from a tribe of cannibal cave dwellers that lurk beyond society. Also starring is Matthew Fox (Lost), Richard Jenkins (The Cabin in the Woods), David Arquette (Scream), Lili Simmons (Banshee) and Sid Haig (The Devil’s Rejects).
Patrick Wilson said he wanted to work on the project mainly because of the script, but also for the opportunity to ride alongside Russell, “To do a movie with Kurt is one thing—to do a Western with Kurt is like, ‘Alright! I’m going to be next to Wyatt Earp up there on a horse!’”
Bone Tomahawk currently has no release date but it’s expected at some point this year. We will update you as soon as a date is announced.

Although injured, the rancher gathers a rescue team consisting of the sheriff, his deputy and a gunslinger. As the group travel further, they enter hell on earth, as they discover they’re up against a band of cannibals, so thirsty there’s no atrocity they wouldn’t commit.
