Some imaginary friends are a little too real. That’s a lesson Luke (Miles Robbins) learns the hard way in Daniel Isn’t Real, the new horror film from Adam Egypt Mortimer (Holidays).
In the film, Luke resurrects Daniel (Patrick Schwarzenegger), his childhood imaginary friend, to help him cope with a recent trauma. At first, Daniel seems like a helpful presence. But before long, Luke finds himself fighting Daniel for control of his own mind—and his soul.
If the newest trailer (below) is anything to go by, Daniel Isn’t Real looks like a real mindfuck. You and your imaginary friends can catch the film in limited theaters and on VOD on December 6th, and on Shudder at a later date.
