FOX have begun further casting for their upcoming supernatural comedy pilot Ghosted, which stars Craig Robinson (This is the End, Pineapple Express) and Adam Scott (Krampus, Parks and Recreation). The first name to join the two headliners is Vice Principals’ Edi Patterson, who has been cast in a “key role” in the show.
An American TV regular, Patterson (pictured) has also had recurring roles in Black-ish, Partners and Clinical Trials, as well as appearing in episodes of Californication, The League and Weeds.
Described as “The X-Files as a comedy”, Ghosted is a single-camera comedy scripted by Tom Gormican. It follows a cynical skeptic (Robinson) and a genius believer in the paranormal (Scott) who are recruited by The Bureau Underground to look into a series of unexplained events in Los Angeles. Their investigations lead them to uncover a larger mystery that could threaten the existence of the human race itself.
Robinson and Scott also serve as executive producers on the show, alongside Naomi Scott, Oly Obst, Mark Schulman, Gormican and Kevin Etten (Workaholics, Scrubs), who will also act as showrunner. The pilot was produced by 3Arts, Gettin’ Rad Productions and Twentieth Century Fox Television.
