The Conjuring 2 has just hit cinemas and there has already been a wave of controversy surrounding its release. Reportedly, a man died drawing a screening of the film in the USA and then his body went missing, a young man and woman reported seeing a crucifix on a mirror shortly after seeing the film and, most terrifying, was a woman who was reportedly possessed while watching the film. Crazy, huh?
Anyway, star of The Conjuring 2 Vera Farmiga has joined The Commuter with Liam Neeson. The film is set to be directed by Jaume Collett-Serra, who worked with Farmiga on 2009’s Orphan. He is also the director of the upcoming shark horror The Shallows, which we are very excited about.
Synopsis:
[The Commuter] centres on a businessman caught up in a criminal conspiracy during his daily commute home. Farmiga will play a mysterious woman who boards a commuter train and proposes an enticing opportunity to Neeson’s character.
The Commuter is set to begin filming this summer.
