After the success of Dexter: New Blood, and the limited success of the Dexter prequel, it was inevitable the Dexter brand was alive and well after many years away.
So, fittingly, Paramount+ and Showtime decided to renew the brand for another show in 2025, Dexter: Resurrection.
After becoming the most successful premiere in Showtime’s history, and the series garnering critical acclaim, it’s little surprise Resurrection was renewed for a second season.
Despite the likes of Michael C. Hall and Brian Cox confirmed for season two, there’s one cast member Dexter fans were desperate for return news of… And now, we have it!
Multiple trusted sources are reporting that Kill Bill star Uma Thurman will return for season two of Dexter: Resurrection.
Thurman will reprise her role of Charley Brown, one of the series’ key antagonists. Described as the “right-hand” to Peter Dinklage’s Leon Prader, Thurman is one of the most popular new additions to the Dexter universe.
Thurman’s character was last seen fleeing for her life after a violent confrontation with Dexter Morgan. Very much still alive, fans were vocal about their wish that Thurman would return for another round with the serial killer vigilante.
Well, it seems wishes do come true! But what will the character’s involvement be this time? Will she return to avenge the death of her boss? Or has Dexter gone on the hunt for her?
Dexter: Resurrection season two doesn’t currently have a premiere date, but is expected to debut this summer on Showtime and Paramount+. All will be revealed then!
