Previously called Tremors: Island Fury, the seventh movie in the Tremors franchise has officially been titled Tremors: Shrieker Island.
The film will see the deadly Graboids illegally brought to a new island resort by a rich playboy looking for a trophy hunt. The title suggests we’re also likely to see the return of the Shriekers, creatures in the second stage of their life cycle, which were first introduced in Tremors II: Aftershocks.
Michael Gross will reprise his iconic role as Burt Gummer in the film. The cast also includes Richard Brake (3 from Hell), Jackie Cruz (Orange Is the New Black), Jon Heder (Napolean Dynamite), Cassie Clare (Death Race 4: Beyond Anarchy), Sahajak Boonthanakit (Only God Forgives), and Caroline Langrishe (Judge John Deed).
Don Michael Paul (Tremors 5: Bloodlines, Tremors: A Cold Day in Hell) returned to direct the seventh instalment. Brian Brightly wrote the screenplay.
The film is expected to release in October.
