The It trailer is one of the best horror trailers we’ve seen for AGES; it’s creepy, imaginative and perfectly sets-up the tone for the full-length film. Based on Stephen King’s terrifying novel of the same name, It follows a demonic entity in the form of a clown named Pennywise who torments seven children.
The It trailer was released last Wednesday and managed to secure 197 million views within 24 hours of being online. The previous record was held by The Fate of the Furious trailer, which had 139 million views during its first 24 hours. As you can see, It smashed this record to pieces, managed to trend on Twitter and Reddit, as well as on Facebook throughout the day.
It’s excellent to see a horror trailer going viral effortlessly and rightly so. It has been directed by Andy Muschietti (Mama) and stars Bill Skarksgard as Pennywise; who looks impressively terrifying. It will be unleashed on 8th September 2017 and you can remind yourself of the record-smashing and frightening trailer below.
