A slick and tense trailer has arrived for Denis Villeneuve’s Arrival and it gives us a good look at extra-terrestrial threats to humanity. It’s a slow-burning descent from quiet menace to full-brown peril as the world starts to collapse under the mysteries surrounding the alien visitors. The trailer boasts a great soundtrack and drums up the intrigue through frequent shots of the aliens’ spaceships.
Synopsis:
When mysterious spacecraft touch down across the globe, an elite team – led by expert linguist Louise Banks (Amy Adams) – is brought together to investigate. As mankind teeters on the verge of global war, Banks and the team race against time for answers – and to find them, she will take a chance that could threaten her life, and quite possibly humanity.
