The first trailer has been revealed for the sequel to 1999’s Deep Blue Sea. Titled Deep Blue Sea 2, the trailer shows a film that looks extremely similar to the original; it might be better to title it as a remake. However, perhaps the trailer purposely reminisces about the first film in a bid to draw in fans of the original.
Once again, Deep Blue Sea 2 will follow a dangerous shark science experiment going wrong when the aquatic creatures become too smart and deadly to control. Darin Scott (Something Wicked, Megachurch Murder) is in the director’s chair with the cast that includes Michael Beach, Danielle Savre, Rob Mayes, Luly Spangenberg and Darron Meyer.
Deep Blue Sea 2 will be drifting straight to DVD and Blu-ray later this year; keep your eyes peeled for the exact date soon.
