Times are Tough in the Trailer for Stake Land II: The Stakelander

Posted on: December 20th, 2016

A trailer has been released for Stake land II: The Stakelander to remind us that the film will be heading to DVD and Blu-ray at the beginning of next year. The show has already aired on the Syfy channel, but if you missed it at Halloween, then you will be able to get your hands on a hard copy soon.

Stake Land II sees the return of cast members Nick Damici in the role of Mister and Connor Paolo is back as Martin. Damici is also the film’s screenwriter and Stake Land’s director Jim Mickle (We Are What We Are) is on-board as an executive producer. Dan Berk and Robert Olsen, the directors of 2015’s intense thriller Body, are directing the sequel.

The trailer is extremely promising and shows that the film’s setting remains to be the stark wasteland from Stake Land, as well as maintaining the earthy tones of the first film’s colour palette. The story has suitably progressed with the inclusion of a brand new vampire who is seeking revenge on the vampire-killer Mister for the loss of her eye. If the story doesn’t go full-blown Underworld-style, we could be looking at a gripping and exciting follow-up to the excellent Stake Land.

Stake Land II: The Stakelander will be released on DVD and Blu-ray on 14th February 2017.
