As part of the six “additional” episodes of The Walking Dead’s tenth season that are coming to AMC early next year, we’ll get to meet Lucille, the previously referenced but as-yet unseen wife of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), and the person he named his barbed wire baseball bat after. Lucille will be played by Morgan’s real-life partner Hilarie Burton Morgan—and you can see the first image of the character above!
Lucille will appear in the episode “Here’s Negan,” directed by Laura Belsey and written by David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick, which will close out Season 10. “Here’s Negan” will see Carol taking Negan on a journey, hoping to minimise the increasing tension. Negan reflects on the events that led him to this point and comes to a conclusion about his future. (Since Lucille died before the zombie apocalypse, expect flashbacks.)
The additional episodes of The Walking Dead’s tenth season will premiere on February 28th, 2021. Season 11, which is expected to begin airing late next year, will be the final season.
