THE WALKING DEAD: DARYL DIXON REVEALS FIRST FOOTAGE

Posted on: May 31st, 2023

Fans of The Walking Dead rejoiced as the series’ official YouTube channel gave the first peek at the latest spin-off.

The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon will focus on Norman Reedus’ fan-favourite character as he tries to pick up the pieces of his life and function anew in Europe following the conclusion of the main series.

Cast alongside Reedus in this next chapter in the already extensive universe are actors Clémence Poésy and Adam Nagaitis in co-leading roles. Joining them in supporting roles are Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebanouey, Laika Blanc Francard and Romain Levi

“Set after the series conclusion of TWD, the Reedus-led offshoot finds the zombie apocalypse fan favorite transported across the Atlantic to France and a whole new level of a world gone mad. Poesy will play the female lead Isabelle, a member of a progressive religious group, who joins forces with Daryl on a journey across France and finds herself confronting her dark past in Paris. Nagaitis portrays Quinn, a displaced Brit who has become powerful in post-apocalyptic Paris as a black marketeer and the owner of the Demimonde, a sexy underground nightclub.”

Although giving nothing away at a scant fifteen seconds, the teaser does offer a look at some of the stunning locations on offer this time around. The teaser ends with a long shot of Reedus walking towards the camera in character with a knowing smile on his face.

With fellow spin-off The Walking Dead: Dead City set to premiere this week; it seems AMC are eager to let us know there is still plenty of life in the undead yet. Although Daryl Dixon doesn’t currently have a premiere date in place, you can check out the short teaser below.
