Gun Interactive, the creators of Friday the 13th: The Game, are teaming up with Sumo Nottingham to bring us The Texas Chain Saw Massacre video game—and Kane Hodder will be playing Leatherface!
While he’s best known for portraying Jason Voorhees in many Friday the 13th films (a role he reprised for Friday the 13th: The Game), Hodder has played Leatherface before. In his role as stunt coordinator for 1990’s Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, Hodder reportedly performed many of Leatherface’s stunts and actions scenes. For the game, he’ll be doing motion capture work to bring the chainsaw-wielding maniac to life once more.
An asymmetrical multiplayer game, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will be based on Tobe Hooper’s 1974 original film. Players will have the option to step into the shoes of several different killers, including The Cook, The Hitchhiker, and even Leatherface himself, as well as some brand-new characters.
The Texas Chain Saw Massacre will be available for the PC and current-gen console. Check out the announcement trailer below!
