The Sales Art for Rabid Shows an Infection

Posted on: November 7th, 2018

The sales are for Rabid gives us a look at the icky infection that is at the film’s centre. Directed by Jen and Sylvia Soska (American Mary, See No Evil 2), the film is a remake of David Cronenberg’s body-horror cult favourite of the same name. The plot for the re-telling is as follows:

What happens when you realize that to achieve your dreams you have to live a nightmare? Rose is a quiet, demure, unassuming woman in her looks and actions. Her dream is to become a famous designer in the fashion world, but a terrible accident leaves Rose scarred beyond recognition. She seeks out a radical untested stem cell treatment. The treatment is nothing short of a miracle and wallflower Rose turns into the belle of the ball. It all seems too good to be true. She is now everything she wanted to be. But everything in life comes at a price and this new found perfect life is no exception.

When speaking about what fans can expect from the remake, producer John Vidette said:
“Horror fans can look forward to lots of surprise Easter eggs throughout the movie paying tribute to various film styles and iconic horror directors, including Cronenberg.”

Rabid additionally stars Ben Hollingsworth, Hanneke Talbot, Mackenzie Gray, CM Punk and AJ Mendez. Look out for a Rabid release date soon.
