We know she doesn’t stay dead long, so it’s no surprise to learn that Sadako will return to haunt in a new Japanese instalment in the Ring franchise. Title Sadako, the film will follow a YouTuber that tries to awaken Sadako’s curse. We assume they are successful in a very terrifying fashion.
Ringu began back in 1998, so it’s quite amazing to see that it’s still going strong. If strong is the right word, because many of the sequels have been less than impressive. Only time will tell what Sadako will be like, but we’re hoping for something fun and tongue-in-cheek like Sadako vs. Kayako. I wonder if we’ll ever see a continuation of that one…
