“I think there’s something in my house…”
Searchlight Pictures has dropped a terrifying trailer for The Night House, the latest horror movie from director David Bruckner (The Ritual, V/H/S).
In the film, the recently widowed Beth is left alone in the lakeside home her husband built for her. As she tries to keep it together, she is haunted by disturbing visions of a presence that seems to call to her. Against the advice of her friends, Beth begins digging into her husband’s belongings, yearning for answers. What she finds are secrets both strange and disturbing—and a mystery she’s determined to unravel.
The Night House was written by Ben Collins and Luke Piotrowski, who also co-wrote Super Dark Times. The cast includes Rebecca Hall (Godzilla vs. Kong), Vondie Curtis Hall (Eve’s Bayou), Sarah Goldberg (Barry), Evan Jonigkeit (Bone Tomahawk), and Stacy Martin (Nymphomaniac).
You can explore The Night House in theatres on July 16th. In the meantime, take a peek through the window by watching the trailer below.
