With the return of Brendan Fraser, Rachel Weisz, and John Hannah, we already knew Radio Silence were planning the ultimate legacy sequel.
However, now word reaches us that the upcoming fourth Mummy instalment has secured more legacy cast members.
Oded Fehr will reprise his role as Ardeth Bay, an ally to Fraser’s Rick O’Connell, and head of the Egyptian elite warriors The Madjai. Fehr last played the role of Ardeth in 2002’s The Mummy Returns. The actor is also well known amongst horror fans for portraying Carlos Olivera in the Resident Evil franchise.
Also returning is Kevin J. O’Connor, set to reprise the part of Beni Gabor. A conman and eventual pawn of the titular mummy, Beni’s return is perhaps the most intriguing yet. O’Connor’s character is memorably killed during the conclusion of 1999’s The Mummy, so how and why he returns is currently being heavily speculated on.
Also joining The Mummy 4 is Young Sherlock actor Numan Acar, but it remains unknown what role he will play.
This casting news comes soon after rumours suggested Obsession star Michael Johnston is circling the project.
Plot details still remain tightly under wraps, with filming on The Mummy 4 expected to begin this month.
Orphan: First Kill scribe David Coggeshall is penning the script, with filmmaking team Radio Silence undertaking directing duties.
The movie is set to hit screens on October 15th 2027 via Universal Pictures.
