Death is a rite of passage in the trailer for The Midnight Club, the latest team-up between Netflix and Mike Flannagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass).
An adaptation of Christopher Pike’s 1994 novel of the same name, The Midnight Club will also adapt other Pike stories. In the series: “At a manor with a mysterious history, the eight members of the Midnight Club meet each night at midnight to tell sinister stories—and to look for signs of the supernatural from the beyond.”
Flanagan adapted Pike’s stories alongside Leah Fong (Once Upon a Time) and directed some episodes. Other directors on the series are Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour (Black Box), Axelle Carolyn (The Haunting of Bly Manor), Viet Nguyen (Chilling Adventures of Sabrina), Morgan Beggs (Once Upon a Time), and Michael Fimognari (To All the Boys: Always and Forever).
The Midnight Club’s cast includes Iman Benson (Creepshow), Igby Rigney (Midnight Mass), Ruth Codd, Annarah Cymone (Midnight Mass), William Chris Sumpter (Power), Adia, Aya Furukawa (The Terror), Sauriyan Sapkota, Matt Biedel (Midnight Mass), Samantha Sloyan (Hush), and Zach Gilford (The Purge: Anarchy). Horror icon Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm Street) also stars.
