Described as a Christmas horror parody, The Mean One slashes through the snow and into U.S. theatres on December 9th — and the trailer introduces us to a strangely familiar green character…!
Directed by Steven LaMorte, The Mean One is set in a sleepy mountain town called Newville, which is terrorized by a bloodthirsty green grouch in a red Santa suit. Played by David Howard Thornton (Terrifier 2), this creature is known simply as “The Mean One.”
One Christmas Eve, The Mean One killed young Cindy’s mother and stole her Christmas. Twenty years later, Cindy returns to Newville, where the monster launches another bloody reign of terror that threatens to destroy Christmas. Now Cindy’s got a bold new purpose: trapping and killing The Mean One.
Krystle Martin, Chase Mullins, John Bigham, Erik Baker, Amy Schumacher, and Flip Kobler star alongside Thorton in The Mean One. The script was written by Flip and Finn Kobler.
