We’ve been eagerly awaiting more news out of Leigh Whannel’s new take on The Invisible Man, which is currently shooting—and a full synopsis has finally been revealed.
Described as a terrifying modern tale of obsession inspired by the classical Universal monster, the film stars Elizabeth Moss (Us, The Handmaid’s Tale) as Cecilia, a woman trapped in an abusive relationship with a brilliant scientist (Oliver Jackson-Cohen). After she escapes in the middle of the night, she goes into hiding with the help of her sister (Harriet Dyer) and their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge), along with his teenage daughter (Storm Reid). Then Cecilia’s ex commits suicide, leaving her a large sum of money.
But Cecilia isn’t convinced her ex is really dead. And when a series of strange coincidences threaten the lives of the people she loves, she starts to suspect she’s being stalked by somebody no one can see…
The Invisible Man sneaks into theatres on February 28th, 2020.
