A batch of new posters have been released for the upcoming prequel The First Purge and they’re massively fired up. Their hyper-real design is impressive, enhancing the film’s desire to be realistic despite its fantasy concept. The explosive colours nicely clash against the Purge itself; a dark time for the American people.
Synopsis:
To push the crime rate below one percent for the rest of the year, the New Founding Fathers of America (NFFA) test a sociological theory that vents aggression for one night in one isolated community. But when the violence of oppressors meets the rage of the marginalised, the contagion will explode from the trial-city borders and spread across the nation.
The First Purge will be the first film in this franchise not to be directed by James DeMonaco, but he has written the script. Gerard McMurray is taking the directing reigns this time round. The cast features Y’Lan Noel, Lex Scott Davis, Joivan Wade, Luna Lauren Velez, and Marisa Tomei.
Check out the posters below and be sure to tune into The First Purge when it arrives on 4th July 2018. Happy Independence Day, indeed.
