The Cloverfield Paradox will hit DVD and Blu-ray in the New Year on 5th February, so anyone who didn’t get to see the film on Netflix will be able to catch it on physical release. Not that I really recommend it.
The Cloverfield Paradox was a clunky disappointment that did not bode well for the Clover-verse it tried to enrich. Nonetheless, there’s a shortage of original sci-fi out there, so we should appreciate it even when it’s not perfect.
It’s Cloverfield in space as a group of scientists who are trying to solve an energy crisis, discover something terrible that leads to them to tell whoever is listening to stop what they’re doing. It was an interesting concept that, in the end, fell rather flat.
The DVD and Blu-ray release will include 25 minutes of unseen footage, a Making Of and interviews with the cast.
The film features Daniel Brühl, Elizabeth Debicki, Aksel Hennie, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Chris O’Dowd, John Ortiz, David Oyelowo and Ziyi Zhang.
