Alberto Corredor is directing a feature-length adaptation of his horror short Baghead—and the cast is starting to fill out!
In addition to the previously announced Ruby Barker (Bridgerton) and Freya Allan (Gunpowder Milkshake), Baghead will star Saffron Burrows (Deep Blue Sea), Peter Mullan (Session 9), Jeremy Irvine (The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death), and Julika Jenkins (Dark). The film will follow the enigmatic Baghead, a diminutive, wrinkled-up person who is able to manifest the dead and bring them back to our world for brief periods of time. People seek out the medium to reconnect with lost loved ones. Once in contact with Baghead, however, the title character’s true powers and intentions are revealed and there is a high price to pay for its contact with the deceased.
Barker will portray a young woman who must face off with Baghead and put a stop to its maniacal evil at all costs. The screenplay for the full-length film was written by Christina Pamies and Bryce McGuire. Roy Lee will executive produce.
