If you’ve been desperate to delve in to the history of the little boy Brahms from the upcoming horror film The Boy, then here is your chance with this 33-second clip. The most noteworthy moment is the revelationt that Brahms likes to play “scary games”, so hopefully we’ll be getting a taste of these games within the film itself.
Starring Lauren Cohan from The Walking Dead fame, The Boy centres on a spooky house and its mysterious residents that include a ‘boy’ called Brahms, who Greta (Cohan) is asked to babysit. However, the boy is just a doll, which is a bit creepy.
From the footage and imagery we’ve seen so far, The Boy looks very promising. It’s got a lovely old-fashioned sinister atmosphere and the doll itself will send shivers down you spine. With 2014’s Annabelle being a sad disappointment, The Boy has a great opportunity to inject some necessary fear in to the scary doll horror sub genre. What was the last truly effective doll horror; Dolls from 1987?
The Boy will be released on 22nd January 2016, so only 3 weeks until all the film’s secrets are revealed!
