Shudder has released a new trailer for cosmic horror flick The Beach House—and visiting this vacation spot will leave you with more than just sunburn.
The film sees troubled college sweethearts Emily and Randall escaping to their family’s beach house during the off season in the hope of reconnecting. There, they run into Mitch and Jane, an older couple acquainted with Randall’s estranged father, and quickly form an unexpected bond. But their fun is interrupted by increasingly strange environmental phenomena—and as the effects of an infection become evident, Emily struggles to make sense of the contagion before it’s too late.
Jeffrey A. Brown, wrote and directed the film, making his feature debut. The cast includes Liana Liberato (Light as a Feather), Noah Le Gros (Depraved), Jake Webber (Dawn of the Dead), and Maryann Nagel.
