Two weeks ago, we reported that, upon it’s one-night theatrical re-run, Terrifier 2 had debuted a teaser for the upcoming third entry.
However, we were only able to show you the teaser poster that was also handed out at the event, having to simply describe the Christmas Eve-set teaser clip. Versions of the short trailer had been doing the rounds on Twitter recorded by the audience; however, we do not support bootlegging and would rather wait for an official release.
Now we have it! Below you can check out the ghoulishly festive teaser that promises Art the Clown will return to make the most wonderful time of the year a not-so-silent-night.
Terrifier 3 is expected to release October 25th 2024, having completed cinematography in September of 2023. Exact plot details are not yet known, but writer-director Damien Leone has promised that Terrifier 2 stars Lauren LaVera and Elliott Fullam will return.
It is speculated that the third instalment will delve deeper into the backstory of David Howard Thornton’s Art the Clown, further exploring the supernatural elements the character displayed in the sequel. However, this is merely speculation, and we won’t know anything concrete likely until summer 2024.
Terrifier 3 will be the first in the series to receive a wide theatrical release, following the enormous success of the first two entries. A fourth chapter is also in the works according to Leone.
Enjoy this little pre-Christmas treat, and we hope it gets you in the festive mood!
